The Humanitarian Organization Kosovsko Pomoravlje has provided financial assistance of 27,000 dinars to Janko Trajković from the village of Poneš. The funds were made possible thanks to a generous donation from the Serbian community of the Saint Demetrius Church-School Congregation in Canada. This support arrived at a time when Janko needed it the most.
Gas Cylinder Accident
A few weeks ago, a gas leak from a cylinder caused severe damage to Janko’s home. While trying to stop the leak and prevent an even greater disaster, Janko was injured.
Unfortunately, he suffered burns to his face and hand and is currently receiving the medical treatment he needs in Niš.
Damage to the House
The accident left significant damage throughout the house. The force of the explosion blew the front door all the way to the gate, breaking it in half. The ceiling, hallway, and bathroom where the gas cylinder was located were also damaged. Since Janko lives alone, every act of kindness and support means a great deal to him during this difficult time.
Gratitude to the Donors
We sincerely thank the Serbian community of the Saint Demetrius Church-School Congregation in Canada for their generosity and swift response. Their donation will greatly help Janko with both his recovery and the repairs to his home.
