Well for the Cvejić Family in Poneš – Solving Their Water Supply Problem

Years of Struggle Without Water

For the Cvejić family, the lack of water had been a difficult part of everyday life. Without their own water connection, they were forced to carry water from their neighbors, even for the most basic daily needs.

Nikola, his sister Marinela, and her son Stefan had been securing water this way for years.

A Difficult Family Situation

Recently, the family also suffered a great loss after the passing of their father. Their mother is battling severe diabetes and requires daily care, which the children have taken on themselves.

Without steady income, the family survives on modest unemployment assistance.

Nikola as the Pillar of the Family

After his father’s death, Nikola took on the role of head of the household. Every day, he works physical jobs whenever he has the opportunity, trying to provide the basic necessities for his family.

The issue of water was one of the greatest burdens they faced.

A Joint Effort Bringing Change

Thanks to the support of the volunteers from our organization and students from the Faculty of Political Sciences in Belgrade, a well was dug in the yard of the Cvejić family.

This provided the family with permanent access to water, representing a huge step toward a more normal and easier life.

The total cost of the works was €2,200.
