The humanitarian organization Kosovo Pomoravlje, in collaboration with students from the University of Belgrade gathered around the organizations System of Values and Serbian Political Forum donated a new ECG machine, worth 236,640 dinars, to the hospital in Pasjane.
Nearly 20,000 patients from Kosovo Pomoravlje and surrounding areas use the services of the Internal Medicine Department in Pasjane. The department offers specialized care for acute and chronic conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and cardiovascular diseases.
“The machine we received is top-quality. It is a professional, digital device with high resolution, and we are extremely satisfied and grateful to all the students and members of Kosovo Pomoravlje,” emphasized Dr. Zoran Perić, the hospital director.
This year’s student initiative from Belgrade, called “Smile for Kosovo,” exceeded the organizers’ expectations, and the interest among young people to participate was very high.
“We raised funds through panels discussing Kosovo and Metohija, as well as through charity events. Attendance was extremely high, which we are especially pleased about. When donating, our main goal was to help in the right way, providing what was most needed. That’s why we chose the hospital, as it is something essential for everyone,” explained Natalija Paunović from the Faculty of Political Science.
Members of Kosovo Pomoravlje handed over one of the most modern ECG machines to the Internal Medicine Department in Pasjane, emphasizing that supporting all Serbian institutions is a vital contribution to the survival of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija.
“We are very grateful to the students from Belgrade who, despite their academic obligations, dedicated a lot of time over the past year to collecting donations to help their people in Kosovo and Metohija. We are pleased that the funds were donated in this way, as it benefits all of us living here. This is one of many actions we have carried out for the hospital, and we plan to continue,” said Nikola Vasić, president of the organization.
Kosovo Pomoravlje has previously supported the hospital and maternity ward in Pasjane with medical equipment and maternity supplies.
