Jovan Stojković is a first-year student at the “Stevan Mokranjac” Music School in Vranje and the “Bora Stanković” Gymnasium. He comes from Parteš, near Gnjilane in Kosovo and Metohija, where he finished elementary and lower music school. Thanks to his outstanding achievements in state and regional competitions, he continued his studies in Vranje. Jovan is the proud winner of numerous awards, including 27 first prizes from competitions such as the Music Spring Festival in Smederevo, and others in Knjaževac, Negotin, and Aleksinac. “The accordion has always been my dream. I hope that by the end of high school, I will have the chance to compete at least once internationally. My goal is to enroll at the Music Academy in Vienna and later pursue doctoral studies in Graz, to become a top professor of the accordion.”

Tamara Miletić is a fourth-year student at the “Sveti Sava” Gymnasium in Peć, attending its branch in Osojane. She was born in Belgrade in 2004, but her family decided to move back to Metohija, to the village of Opraške near Istok. As the only Serbian family in this place, the Miletić family endured many challenges, from safety concerns to employment difficulties. Still, with courage and modesty, they stayed on their land. Tamara is an excellent student and has many plans for her future. “I strongly wish to continue my education by studying psychology at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Priština, based in Kosovska Mitrovica. This scholarship will greatly help me in achieving that dream.”

Jovana Trajković is a first-year student of the Faculty of Medicine in Kosovska Mitrovica, majoring in Nursing. She graduated from the Medical High School in Ropotovo with excellent success. Jovana lives in Donje Korminjane, near Kosovska Kamenica. She enrolled in university as a budget-funded student, which eases her financial burden. “My father is a diabetic, a single parent, and a pensioner. We live in modest conditions, with no income other than his pension. I have always imagined myself as a healthcare worker. I would love to work as a head nurse in a hospital or clinical center. Direct work with patients who need help is what fulfills me most.”

Ivana Ristić is a first-year student of Architecture at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Kosovska Mitrovica. She comes from Jasenovik, a small village near Novo Brdo, where she completed elementary school, while she graduated from high school in Šilovo with top grades. Since childhood, she dreamed of studying architecture, and through hard work, she made it happen. “One of my life goals is to graduate and work in a profession I love, one that gives me creative freedom, while also ensuring a safer life for my family. I imagine myself as a successful person, walking boldly through life. I would also love to engage in humanitarian work one day.”

A Word from the Donor: “My name is Luka, I was born and raised in Belgrade. At 17, after playing basketball since the age of seven, I got the opportunity to continue both my education and basketball career in the United States. Helping my people is the most beautiful thing I can do. We are all one, and we should help one another. Serbia will last as long as its children remain faithful. Considering the situation of our brothers and sisters in Kosovo, I call on everyone who can to support this organization and the needs of our people.”

We invite you to support the scholarship program for young people from Kosovo and Metohija!
