Lana Vasić, a fourth-grade student at “Mladen Marković” Elementary School in Vitini, lives with her mother and grandmother in the town center, while her father works temporarily abroad. Our organization recently presented Lana with a computer to support her learning and make her childhood a little brighter.
For Lana, play and socializing are only possible at school, which is still attended by around twenty children from the Viti area and only three students from the town itself. The school is modestly equipped, providing just the basic resources for lessons, while the children’s movement is limited for safety to the small schoolyard and the churchyard across the street.
Support and attention for students and teachers in these communities is essential to help preserve the increasingly small Serbian population. Children need security and an environment where they can learn and develop their talents.
We invite you to continue standing with the children of Kosovo and Metohija together with us!
