The Dimitrijević family from Poneš will welcome the winter in an almost completely new home. After finishing the roof renovation, installing the façade, and setting up proper drainage, their house looks entirely different. That’s why the host, Zoran, joked as he awaited our visit:
I’m not sure you’ll recognize the house—you might need me to wait for you somewhere in the village.
A €7,460 Donation for the Dimitrijević Home
A total of 886,000 dinars was allocated for the renovation of the Dimitrijević family home. With Zoran and his family working side by side with the craftsmen every day, they added another €1,000 of their own, which covered the finishing touches and finer works.
Little Stefan Dreamed of a White House
When we first told the Dimitrijević family that we were starting a campaign for their new house, little Stefan immediately said he wanted it to be white. Marija and Zoran fulfilled their eldest child’s wish, and today they say he enjoys sitting in the yard with his grandfather, admiring their home.
The Dimitrijević family is young and hardworking, devoted to their land and raising their children. Their younger daughters, Milica and Anđela, along with their brother Stefan, are a true blessing who bring joy every day.
A harmonious family, full of love and unity, is the greatest treasure of our community. Thanks to parents like these, we continue to believe in the hope of preserving life and staying in our homeland.
