Far from the homeland, yet close at heart. Togetherness. Faith, hope, and love.

The Rotterdam parish, Serbs living in the Netherlands, and their friends once again showed sincere faith in the power of unity and charity. At a humanitarian concert held at the Church of the Holy Trinity in Rotterdam, two wonderful Serbian women launched an important and meaningful initiative. The event focused on collecting voluntary donations to support two organizations in the homeland whose work is dedicated to parenting, children, and helping the Serbian people.

Katarina from Sarajevo and Sonja from Zrenjanin were brought together by life in the Netherlands, the Serbian church in Rotterdam, friendship, and humanitarian spirit. Together, they organized a charity concert where one of them presented the humanitarian organization Kosovo Pomoravlje, while the other introduced the organization Home for Mothers. The goal of the evening was to raise awareness about their work and to collect donations.

The charity evening also featured the vocal group Libero from Leskovac. They were joined by the ethno group KUD Tamo Daleko and the Holy Trinity Choir from Rotterdam.

Behind the scenes, the Circle of Serbian Sisters worked diligently, preparing refreshments for after the concert.

She emphasized that the gentle singing of the group Libero left no one indifferent, while the young voices of the ethno group Tamo Daleko warmed everyone’s hearts with their performance of Crven cvete.

During the charity evening, a significant amount of funds was collected.

Truly, the event carried one strong and deeply touching message

That Serbs in the Netherlands wholeheartedly wish to support and help young mothers and the people of Kosovo and Metohija.
