At the invitation of Father Trajko Vlajković, we supported and helped renovate the church hall in Uroševac with a donation of €750, so that everything would be ready on Monday, September 11th, for the celebration of the 90th anniversary of the church’s consecration in this city.
On this occasion, we invite everyone to come on Monday, the Feast of the Beheading of Saint John the Baptist, to the Church of Saint Emperor Uroš in Uroševac and attend the holy liturgy, which will be celebrated by His Grace, Bishop Teodosije of Raška-Prizren.
Today, there are no Serbs living in the city of Saint Emperor Uroš. In the post-war years, the cathedral became the only shared home for all displaced people and Serbs from the surrounding Uroševac villages. Seeking comfort for their lost homes and praying for the return of all exiled people, Serbs from Uroševac still gather around the cathedral today, the only refuge in their city.
That is why it is very important that, on the occasion of the church’s upcoming small jubilee in Uroševac, we come together in the name of the Lord and, in prayer for peace and love, show that we have not forgotten the Emperor’s city and all who were displaced from it.
Thank you for standing by us in this initiative. If possible, please support our work and the continued presence of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija!
