A little that means a lot: Let’s help three families from Kosovo and Metohija

A Little That Means a Lot is a humanitarian campaign we launched to support three hardworking families from Kosovo and Metohija.

A little that means a lot

Their life stories may be different, but they all share the same struggle—fighting bravely for a dignified life despite countless hardships and injustices. While visiting families across Kosovo and Metohija, we often meet people who receive no support at all, whose pleas and struggles have gone unheard.

But together, we can change their everyday life! That’s why we are starting the campaign “A Little That Means a Lot”, to bring hope back to these families and show them they are not forgotten.

Which families are we helping?

The Dimić family

The Dimić family from Mogila, near Kosovska Vitina, lives off farming. Boban and Nataša rent land to cultivate, while in their yard they grow seedlings and vegetables in four greenhouses. They live in a modest house that they are slowly building and arranging for their daughters Valentina (10) and Blagica (6). The girls often help in the field and garden. Everything they earn, they reinvest in new planting. With their honest, hard work, they keep their household alive and raise their children. Until now, they have never received any agricultural equipment that would make their work easier.

Our goal: to provide the Dimić family with a new cultivator, a disc harrow, and a children’s room where the girls can study and spend time with friends.

The Radović family

The Radović family from Šilovo, near Gnjilane, lives on a single salary, without land to cultivate. In the 1980s, Dejan Radović bought a house in this village. He could have moved to Belgrade, but his heart remained in Šilovo, where his wife Jelena and their children were born. Their current home is in poor condition—damaged by an earthquake 15 years ago. Though they received a new house afterwards, neither the old nor the new provides safe living conditions. The old house is collapsing, and the new one needs expansion and adaptation for family life.

Our goal: by adding a room to Dejan Radović’s house, we want to give this family a safe roof over their heads and a home where Katarina and Marija can grow up carefree

Zoran Antic

The Antić family from Poneš carries a heavy life story. For a year now, our organization has tried to help them secure their rights as a vulnerable family, but without success. That’s why we decided, through the campaign A Little That Means a Lot, to ease their struggles at least a little.

heir life has been marked by tragedy: Zoran’s older son passed away after a severe illness, and shortly after, his wife suffered a stroke. For years, she was bedridden, and Zoran cared for her tirelessly—washing, feeding, and carrying her when needed. Sadly, she passed away just two months ago. Their home collapsed from age, so they moved into a small auxiliary building made of concrete blocks, with no insulation, poor carpentry, and a ruined bathroom. In such conditions, Zoran cared for his sick wife for a whole year.

Our goal: to make the room where Zoran and Ivan live decent and safe, easing at least a part of their burden through better living conditions
