Let’s support the Dimić family from Mogila, Kosovo and Metohija, through the action “A Little Means a Lot” to get the agricultural machinery they need to keep their farm alive.
How Do the Dimić Family Live in Mogila near Vitina?
As part of the “A Little Means a Lot” initiative, we are helping three families from Kosovo and Metohija, including the Dimić family from Mogila. They urgently need support for their farming work. For years, this family has survived solely through hard work, without any outside help. Without their own land, they rent fields and manage to cultivate four greenhouses.
Despite their great effort, the Dimić family needs our help to keep going. Boban, the father, showed us around their land, proudly sharing what he, his wife, and children manage to do on their own—with just an old tractor and no proper machinery.

The Dimić family
Can You Really Live Off Farming?
“I grow potatoes, peppers, cabbage, onions, garlic… everything. I have four greenhouses, but since I don’t own land, I rent fields. This year I even started seedlings, which I never did before, but I want to try and expand. We live only from farming—my wife and I do everything, and our children help a lot. Sometimes I feel sorry to call them to the field, but they enjoy helping, doing what they can. The work is hard and exhausting, from morning till night, but honestly, it’s all I know. And when you add everything up, it’s just enough to survive. Nothing is left over.”
The Dimić Family Needs Machinery to Live Off Their Work
Every year Boban applies for agricultural incentives, but so far without success. Parents Boban and Nataša keep working tirelessly from dawn to dusk to provide a normal life and education for their daughters, Valentina and Blagica. Mogila, once famous for farming and vegetable sales, is today a place where fewer families dare to rely on agriculture. The markets are small, buyers are few, and there is no real system of purchase. Still, as Boban says, growing vegetables remains the best chance to survive and the only way to earn an honest living here.

Waiting for Farming Support That Never Comes
Boban explains how much easier life would be with their own machinery—no need to borrow, wait, or depend on others. He doesn’t ask for anything more than the tools to earn a living for his family.
“Every year I applied for machinery, but you know how it goes here—those in the right places get everything. I never got any help from the state. We survive only on farming and the child allowance we receive. But I keep saying—God willing, the work must go on.”
Let’s Help the Dimić Family Work Their Land
That’s why we included this hardworking family in our A Little Means a Lot” campaign. Our goal is to raise €5,000 by Easter to help them stand on their feet again!
