A humanitarian performance by the Priština National Theatre – Hamlet in the Village of Mrduša Donja – was staged on February 9 at the Russian House in Belgrade.
The event was organized by the student organization Serbian Political Forum from the Faculty of Political Sciences, in cooperation with the Humanitarian Organization Kosovo Pomoravlje. On this occasion, voluntary donations totaling 160,000 dinars were collected to support the scholarship program for pupils and students from Kosovo and Metohija.
Faith and love are confirmed through deeds
In the opening part of the program, Father Darko, a priest serving at the Chapel in Student City, addressed those present. Recalling the words of the Holy Apostle James that faith without works is dead, he emphasized the inseparable connection between faith, love, and concrete action:
There is no faith without confirmation through concrete deeds. The same is true of love. For it to be real, it must be continually affirmed through actions.
Support that builds the future
On behalf of the scholarship recipients, Mihajlo Jančić, a student at the Faculty of Orthodox Theology from Pasjane, spoke to the audience. He expressed gratitude to all benefactors, highlighting how much this kind of support means to young people from Kosovo and Metohija:
Thank you for investing in the most valuable thing a person can receive – in knowledge, in dreams, in the human being. Thank you for believing in us, because thanks to you, we are able to believe in the future.
Students from Belgrade stand with the people of Kosovo and Metohija
This humanitarian performance is one of many initiatives organized by students of the University of Belgrade with the aim of supporting the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija. The organizers emphasized that every ticket purchased, every round of applause, and simply being present carries a deeper meaning and leaves a lasting mark for future generations.
