This year, the first distribution of Christmas gift packages was organized in the villages of Novo Brdo.
Part of our team visited the village of Trnićevce, followed by Bostane and its hamlet Čuljkovci
Once Again with the Children in All Villages of Novo Brdo
After that, we went to the village of Jasenovik and visited three Serbian hamlets. Finally, we arrived in the village of Paralovo, where we visited two smaller settlements.
We had already met many of the families and children in previous years, so the joy both theirs and ours of seeing each other again was clearly visible.
The children welcomed us with smiles some shyly, others running toward us with open arms.
As always, they were especially happy about the toys, while schoolchildren were delighted even by school supplies included in the gift packages.
The youngest children were particularly fascinated by our Christmas gift: a separate, decorated small package filled with walnuts, fruit, and a few sweets.
As in every home we visited, we were warmly invited inside to have coffee and take a short rest.
In a festive atmosphere, exchanging heartfelt wishes to welcome Christmas in good health, we said goodbye to each family and their children, hoping to meet again in the coming year.
he second part of our team visited the villages of Straža, Prekovce, Izvor, Manišince, and Zebince.
We personally visited most households. Meetings with families are always very dear and meaningful to us. We talked with locals about everyday life and spent time playing with the children.
In the villages of Novo Brdo, people are mostly engaged in agriculture and work on their own land. Since it was winter, most of the work had already been completed, and everyone was preparing for the upcoming holidays.
In Prekovce, we met the children at the football field where they often gather and socialize. In Straža, we gathered the youngest around the Church of Saint Petka, one of the oldest and most beautiful churches in the Pomoravlje region.
A Total of 170 Christmas Gift Packages Were Distributed in Novo Brdo
Thanks to your great love and generosity, once again this year on the eve of the most joyful holiday, Christmas we managed to visit all villages and all children in the area surrounding Novo Brdo. Thank you for helping us begin the New Year by spending time with children and listening to their wishes.
