During the first weekend after Christmas, we visited Metohija and distributed Christmas gift packages to children in several locations. This year, volunteers joined us as well, bringing additional strength and warmth to the entire journey. The visit included Osojane, Crkolez, Dren, and Istok, with the great support of our host, Žarko.

Despite the heavy rain, we were not discouraged, and the gift packages reached the children. The local parish priest, Father Dalibor, welcomed us warmly and said:
“People in Osojane are determined to stay here, and in the surrounding villages, which have only a few houses, there are still families with children.”
Gift distribution throughout the villages
After Osojane, we continued on to Crkolez, where we were greeted by heavy snowfall. Once again, the locals welcomed us with warmth and kindness, and the gift packages were distributed at the elementary school building.
Afterward, we visited the local 14th-century church dedicated to Saint John. Due to snow-covered and inaccessible roads, we were unable to reach Dren as planned, so we entrusted the gift packages to our host Žarko, who will deliver them when conditions allow.
Finally, we visited Istok and the family of Priest Nebojša, who lives there with his wife and five children. The children’s joy was especially great when they saw the footballs among the gifts.
