Last night, Bishop Ilarion of Novo Brdo delivered a lecture at the Cultural Center Sveta Bosiljka in Pasjane, as part of the Morava Spiritual Evenings series organized by Draganac Monastery and our organization.
The Lecture by Bishop Ilarion
Titled The Day of Salvation, the lecture attracted a large audience. Among the attendees were monks from Draganac Monastery, priests from surrounding villages, and people from across Kosovo Pomoravlje.
His Grace, Bishop Ilarion, spoke about our calling to move toward the light, toward the day, toward Salvation. He emphasized that every day is a Day of Salvation. Every week, during the liturgy, we celebrate Christ’s Resurrection, and in all days, we are called to accept life’s trials with calm—and even with joy.

“Today is the Day of Salvation”
“Today is the Day of Salvation. Even the very notion of a ‘day’ is something we live with—from our birthday to the day of passing. And we strive to walk through the Day. Christ says that those who walk in the Day do not stumble. Especially now, after Easter, when the days seem to flow into one, we must contemplate this mystery deeply.”
Over a Hundred People Attended
After the lecture, Bishop Ilarion answered questions from the audience and moderators. He explained that preparing for the light, for the day, in our lives lived in darkness, involves repentance, fasting, prayer, endurance—but most importantly, community and love for others. Preserving monastic life, marriage, and friendships—all moments of shared beauty are glimpses of divine, everlasting light.

Lecture
“Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ!
This was the Bishop’s message.
