For the fourth year in a row, we are organizing the Summer School Kosovsko Pomoravlje for children from Kosovo and Metohija, with the wish that through friendship, play, and learning they create memories that will stay with them for a lifetime.

For many children growing up in isolated Serbian communities, summer break does not mean traveling, camps, or spending time with friends. It often passes quietly, without companionship and without activities. That is why our school exists.

Why the summer school is important for children from Kosovo and Metohija

The Summer School Kosovsko Pomoravlje is a place where children:

• spend time with a larger group of peers for the first time
• build new friendships
• preserve tradition, identity, and cultural heritage
• learn about healthy lifestyles

Through a carefully designed program, children learn through play, spend time in nature, and discover their cultural and spiritual heritage. This is not just a summer camp for children from Kosovo and Metohija it is a place where we all grow together.

What the summer school 2026 for children from Kosovo and Metohija looks like

Summer School Kosovsko Pomoravlje 2026 will take place from July 31 to August 6 in Štrpce, beneath the Šar Mountains.

• he program lasts 7 days
• a total of 40–45 children will participate in the camp
• children from all parts of Kosovo and Metohija are included

The program includes:

• educational workshops (native language, logic, creativity)
• learning through play using the NTC system
• sports and outdoor activities
• visits to monasteries and holy sites (Prizren, Gračanica, Dečani)
• nurturing faith, tradition, and art

We place special emphasis on healthy childhood development, spending time outdoors, quality nutrition, and minimal screen use.

Results from previous years

During the past three years:

• 3 summer schools have been successfully organized
• around one hundred children from Kosovo and Metohija have participated
• many lasting friendships have been created
• for many children, it was their first time spending time away from home

For many of them, this was the first summer they remember for friendship and joy rather than loneliness.
