We don’t want to leave, we just need a little support.

“We don’t want to leave; we just need a little help to earn for our children ourselves” this is what we most often hear from families in Kosovo and Metohija. That little bit, as usual, is often the hardest to reach them.

People in Serbian communities want to work and ensure their families don’t have to rely solely on social or humanitarian aid. That’s why it’s so important to support households like the Makić family from Klokot.

The Makić family’s only steady income is a social allowance of 20,000 dinars. They have a school-aged child and two elderly family members who need care.

The head of the family, Aleksandar, is supported mainly by his wife, Nataša, and their son, Luka, in his determination to stay on their land. They raise piglets and pigs for sale and cultivate six hectares of land.

To expand their livestock farming, they need a feed mixer, which would greatly ease the preparation of animal feed a task they currently do by hand.

The value of this donation, including transportation and import costs, is €2,000.

To help and support this hardworking family, we invite anyone who can to participate in this action through donations and help preserve a home in Kosovo and Metohija.
