While looking for someone to tell us more about life in Grizimu, we met Danijel and Jovica Miljković—two cheerful and lively boys playing in the yard while also taking care of piglets.
When we saw them digging a small channel on the hillside, we thought it was part of their game. But in fact, they do this at least a few times a week to connect water for bathing and washing clothes. Danijel is 12, and Jovica is 14 years old.
Two years ago, they lost their father, and now there are thirteen members in the household. The boys wish to remain on their land and continue farming. They’ve already learned all the household chores, and even now they help their mother and care for the family.
Bicycles arrive for the Miljković family
Thanks to kind-hearted people, especially our donors from the diaspora who immediately responded to the campaign to buy bicycles, we managed to bring joy to the Miljković brothers from Grizimu.
