This year again, we are launching our action for the Summer School 2024.

What is our goal?

The goal of this project is to raise funds through a series of humanitarian events for children who, during their summer break, have no opportunity to spend time with friends—because in their villages, apart from them, there are no other children. Last summer, our organization also organized this program, and it turned out to be a unique experience for both the children and their teachers.

Who is the Summer School for?

Today, it’s hard to even imagine childhood without parks, sports, and birthday parties. But there are children whose wishes are far more modest. Children who simply want friends.

“Summer School 2024” is a program designed especially for children from isolated rural enclaves in Kosovo and Metohija. Through games and workshops, they will have the chance to learn about their language, history, and faith, but above all, to spend time together and make friends.

Where and when will the Summer School take place?

The Summer School will be organized in the village of Bratilovce near Kosovska Kamenica, a picturesque mountain area perfect for outdoor educational activities. Together with the staff of Desanka Maksimović School, our organization has also renovated most of the school building in Bratilovce so that it can serve both regular classes and the summer camp. Children will also spend time at the Draganac Monastery and visit Novo Brdo and Gračanica. The Summer School will be held in August 2024. This year, we aim to gather children from across Kosovo and Metohija. The planned number of participants is 30, divided into 2 groups.
