Renovation of the church in Vitina

The interior of the Church of Saint Petka in Vitina now glows with a fresh, radiant shine. We are delighted that the photos from yesterday’s visit show the restoration work gradually coming to completion.

After the war, thousands of Serbs left Vitina, and following the March 17 pogrom, only about fifty remained. Serbs in Vitina still live in fear of renewed attacks, and both children and adults avoid going beyond the school and church grounds. Once a multiethnic town, Vitina today is a place where Serbs can walk freely only when necessary.

If you are able, please support our work and help Serbs remain in Kosovo and Metohija!
