When the Holy Apostle Thomas touched the body of the Risen Christ, saving humanity from doubt forever, every excuse for disbelief in the Resurrection vanished. That is why Saint Sava renounced the royal crown and crowned the Serbian people with the wreath of eternal salvation through Christ. Similarly, Prince Lazar, leading his devoted army into battle for the Holy Cross, freedom, and divine justice, knew he was guiding his entire Christian people on the path of death and suffering the only path leading to resurrection, purification, and eternal glory of the Serbian nation. Let us rejoice today because we have our Kosovo and Metohija, our national Golgotha, as Bishop Nikolaj said, our spiritual and moral resurrection the very thing that made our people great and stopped our moral decay, our eternal pride and conscience for all generations! Let us rejoice because the Lord has shown us His love and redeemed our sins through His sacrifice! Let us rejoice and stand today under Lazar’s banner, as his followers, enduring and remaining steadfast in faith in this sacred place, believing in the Resurrection! Let us rejoice, for those who endure to the end shall be saved!
