The satellite department of Desanka Maksimović Elementary School in Bratilovac has received a brand-new roof. At the beginning of August, we completed one of the largest investments for this school, ensuring that it can continue to operate and remain a vital part of the community.
Over €7,500 for a new Roof
By investing in the roof structure, we saved the school from deterioration, protecting it from leaks and heavy snow during the winter months. The value of this donation is €7,517, generously provided by our diaspora in the United States.
We can proudly say that the Bratilovac school is one of our first major projects, especially considering the difficult financial situation in education across certain areas of Kosovo and Metohija.
Supporting education in Kosovo and Metohija
Thanks to the new roof, we were able to host the very first Summer School in Bratilovac. This special program was designed for children from enclaves, giving them the chance to learn and spend time together during the holidays.
We are truly glad that many people have recognized the importance of preserving small village schools and the need to emphasize education and childhood in enclaves.
