During today’s action, members of our organization delivered furniture to equip two children’s rooms in the new home of the Maksimović family from Koretište. Thanks to our donors, Vladan, Helena, and Nikolina now have new beds, wardrobes, and desks, making their everyday life brighter and easier.
We are especially happy that by launching this initiative, we managed to bring much-needed support to this six-member family, who until just a few months ago lived in an old, dilapidated house, under very poor conditions, with no chance for their story to be heard publicly.
We sincerely thank the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, which, following the start of our action, secured funds from the budget of the Republic of Serbia for building the house. This allowed us to direct the donations received into furnishing the rooms so the Maksimović family could move into their new home as soon as possible.
Our host, Marko Maksimović, expressed heartfelt gratitude to our organization and emphasized how much this help meant to his family: “This house means so much to us. Here we will have much better living conditions than before. I want to thank the humanitarian organization Kosovsko Pomoravlje, who helped us get a new home. Without you, I think we would still be living in those difficult conditions.”
