Two new devices have been delivered to the hospital a patient monitor and an ECG machine while the maternity ward received a new pulse oximeter for newborns.
The total value of this donation is €5,000, made possible thanks to Sandra Janićijević and Goran Mekić from Israel, as well as Violeta Zafirovski, who sent her support from Switzerland.
On behalf of the hospital staff and all patients of the General Hospital in Pasjane, our organization expressed heartfelt gratitude to the donors from the diaspora. With this generous act, they have provided significant support to the Serbian community living in Kosovo Pomoravlje. Pasjane Hospital is the only healthcare institution in this region under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia and stands as one of the pillars of survival for Serbs in southern Kosovo and Metohija.
As part of the Health Center in Gnjilane, the hospital provides medical care to residents of Gnjilane, Novo Brdo, Kosovska Kamenica, and Vitina. Its dedicated medical staff treat patients from all communities living in this part of Kosovo and Metohija.
Through our humanitarian efforts, we have repeatedly raised funds to support the Pasjane maternity ward encouraging young families to stay in Kosovo and Metohija and build their future here. The maternity ward is a cornerstone of survival for the Serbian people in the Gnjilane District, which remains one of the few regions in Serbia with a positive natural population growth despite difficult living conditions.
Another joyful fact is that since the beginning of the pandemic, 22 babies have been born in the Pasjane maternity ward. Thanks to the dedication of our doctors, conditions for mothers and newborns remain at a very high level.
The children inspire us to keep going, spreading humanity, love, solidarity, and tolerance, while working toward better living conditions and respect for equality and human rights for everyone in Kosovo and Metohija.
