Homes that were painstakingly rebuilt after the war have lost almost everything to the water. Many families with children, elderly, and sick members face problems with heating and water supply. Damage assessment is still ongoing, and so far, only the most vulnerable have been evacuated.
Serbian communities across Kosovo have suffered, with the hardest-hit areas being around Gračanica and in Kosovo Pomoravlje. The villages most affected are in central Kosovo and Kosovo Pomoravlje, and in Kosovo Kamenica, a bridge connecting it to nearby villages has collapsed.Collapsed bridge in Kosovska KamenicaA large number of livestock have perished, firewood has been destroyed, and homes where the water has receded are now facing severe moisture problems.
