The second mini basketball festival for 2024, organized by the Mini Basketball Association of Serbia, was held last week in Bujanovac under the theme “Let’s Protect the Children.” Young participants from our school had the chance, just like in Vlasotince, to play about ten games against their peers from Bujanovac, Vranje, Vlasotince, and even several teams from Skopje.
It was a fantastic opportunity for our youngest players to test their basketball skills in a packed hall and showcase how much they’ve improved since the last tournament. The exciting atmosphere, passionate cheering, and fiery action under the hoops lasted all day. In the end, well-deserved medals and an additional trophy became a wonderful memory of this thrilling and joyful day of competition in Bujanovac.
Special excitement came from the presence of our basketball legend, Igor Rakočević, with whom the kids briefly spent time, took a group photo, and heard encouraging words.
Interestingly, the day before, our older team demonstrated impressive basketball skills in friendly matches, supported by their parents from the stands.
Thanks to the organizers from the Mini Basketball Association of Serbia and the Bujanovac basketball club Play 017, our school also contributed to preserving children through sport, competition, and fostering friendships. Therefore, we invite you to help us continue the work of the basketball school and protect our children together.
