Boževce is one of the oldest villages in the municipality of Kosovska Kamenica, Kosovo and Metohija. Records of the village date back as far as the 15th century.
Before the war, the village school welcomed around a hundred students every September. Today, the school is closed, and only a few houses remain, inhabited mostly by the elderly.
Many homelands across Serbia share a similar fate, and in Kosovo and Metohija, scenes of abandoned villages are becoming increasingly common.
If you can, please support our work and help the Serbian community remain in Kosovo and Metohija!
