A little fighter for a big life, Maja Cvetković, from the village of Kmetovac in Kosovo and Metohija, is only one year old. Eight months ago, doctors diagnosed Maja with type 1 spinal muscular atrophy. Since that day, Maja and her parents have been fighting the greatest battle of all—life.
A vital part of her treatment is the Cough Assist E70 device, valued at €5,000. In addition to the device, Maja requires feeding tubes, catheters, cannulas, and saline solutions every month. Sadly, her parents cannot afford the device. Her parents, Miloš and Ivana, are currently unemployed and live on a minimal financial allowance provided by Miloš’s father, Zvonimir.
