Gifts given to babies in Pasjane

In June 2019, the Humanitarian Organization “Kosovsko Pomoravlje“ launched an initiative to collect aid for babies born in Pasjane. Our idea was to support mothers and the only Serbian maternity hospital in the Kosovo Pomoravlje region with the help of generous people. We collected items for newborns in their first months, nightgowns for mothers, baby equipment, bottles, blankets, diapers, baby formula, and hygiene products. On Vidovdan, the members of our organization delivered packages to mothers and their babies. But the action did not end there. Our donor, Jovana Marjanović from Zemun, recognized the importance of this kind of support and decided to stand behind our work by providing funds for fourteen gift packages. Just yesterday, members of our organization distributed these packages to mothers and babies born in November. We will do our best in the future to prepare a package for every newborn, encouraging the growth of new life in this region. This help is of great importance, since the people of Kosovo Pomoravlje have been living on the edge of poverty for years. Since the opening of the first maternity ward in Pasjane in 2015, the number of newborns has grown. With the first steps of these little ones, the Serbian spirit in Kosovo Pomoravlje spreads as well. This is the only way for Serbs to survive in Kosovo and Metohija.
