We organized the distribution of Christmas gift packages in the hamlets of Novo Brdo on the third day of Christmas.
Meeting the children in these remote rural enclaves was truly touching, full of hugs and laughter. The youngest eagerly awaited the arrival of “Božić Bata,” who has visited their villages for three consecutive Christmases.
We distributed dozens of packages across 11 different neighborhoods. Although the winter was mild, rain had damaged the unpaved village roads in many areas, making it very difficult to reach some homes.
Villages like Jasenovik, Izvor, Boljevce, and Lablјane face various challenges. Visiting the children for Christmas gave us the opportunity to speak with parents and local residents about the problems they encounter.
Encounters like these are extremely important for our work and for gathering information to launch future initiatives. That is why our constant presence in the field and direct contact with the people are priorities that guide all our activities.
