“Kosovsko Pomoravlje” Humanitarian Organisation
Our organisation was founded in Parteš, near Gnjilane, in Kosovo and Metohija with a goal to provide assistance to Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija and to present our homeland to you. So, our humanitarian activities keep telling our stories of life in Kosovo and Metohija, our day-to-day life, the challenges families face, the situation of young people, and the opportunities for their growing up, education, and staying in their own homeland. It is important to us that all our humanitarian actions and projects do help our people in Kosovo and Metohija. We also want our activities to highlight some long-term issues that need addressing for the benefit of future generations.
What have we achieved so far?
Bearing in mind the foregoing, the work of our organisation is divided into several key segments that we have been focusing on concurrently since its inception. These include our projects for:
– Assistance to the population, families with children, and the elderly
– Support for small producers, farms, farmers, and artisans
– Assistance to young people and children
– Support for Serbian institutions and the Serbian Orthodox Church
Through our transparent, regular, and truthful reporting from the Kosovsko Pomoravlje region and by sharing information about the assistance provided, we pay back respect to our donors. We want to build a system of trust facilitating our help and support in reaching people in need in a timely manner. Every one of our actions is prompted by a life story of an individual/family/student/persons with disability etc., illustrated with videos and photos and showing everyday life we all live sharing a common hope to stay in our homeland.
In the course of five years of our humanitarian field work, we have solved many individual problems of our fellow citizens, significantly supported institutions, and put the issue of children and young people at the centre of our activities. Scholarships for students, development of sports, and other contents for children are just some of our ideas meant to make our environment better and more carefree for children’s lives.
Shop from Kosmet – Support for our Local Producers
Our “Shop from Kosmet” platform was created as a way to strengthen families in their economic recovery and well-being. This online store brings together producers from Kosovo and Metohija assisting them in reaching their customers. Online sales in Kosovo and Metohija have not taken root in practice yet. Having assessed the Shop as a real opportunity for our local producers who are currently trapped in a closed and uncertain market, we launched it to support people in becoming self-sufficient and earning a living from their work.
