The lecture My Life in Christ was held on Saturday at the Radomir Popović Cultural Center in Ranilug as part of the Morava Spiritual Evenings.
At the invitation of the organizers — the Draganac Monastery and our organization — the lecture was delivered by Archimandrite Mihailo, abbot of the Holy Archangels Monastery, and Archimandrite Stefan, abbuot of Zočište Monastery.
Father Mihailo, in the first part of his talk, spoke about his personal journey in search of Christ. He studied, lived, and served in many places, yet his heart always longed to return to Prizren. He recalled the difficult times in Kosovo and Metohija, remembering Bishop Atanasije, Metropolitan Amfilohije, and Patriarch Pavle, and their crucial role in preserving both the people and the holy sites. For the last 15 years, God has fulfilled his longing for Prizren.

Lecture My Life in Christ
Life in Christ Leading Back to Prizren
Answering questions from the audience, Father Mihailo touched upon the spiritual state of today’s Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, especially the youth. He explained that change begins within us, in how we fight for our families and homes — highlighting in particular the vital role of mothers and women.
“Dear sisters, today you carry the heaviest Cross — one you have largely taken upon yourselves. But you are choosing to be mothers of Kosovo. Not everyone can move away; someone must stay here and fight for this Morava.”
Serbs Have Always Been Ready for Sacrifice in Christ
Building upon Father Mihailo’s words, Father Stefan spoke about what it means to live in Christ. He reminded everyone that Christian life is above all about sacrifice and endurance, just as our ancestors showed in these lands.
“Not only Saint Bosilka of Pasjane, who refused to abandon her faith, but countless other Serbian hosts who endured much more than we do today. Compared to them, we suffer little now. No one takes our food, our daughters, or kills us unjustly — yet all of that was once the everyday reality of this people.”

Another Inspiring Evening in Ranilug
Father Stefan explained that suffering for Christ has always been a way for Serbs to prove their faith. Even if many may not attend liturgy, fast, or fully understand the faith — when sacrifice is required, they are present, without fear, because deep inside they feel it is right to suffer for justice.
This was the eighth lecture held as part of the Morava Spiritual Evenings. Thanks to the Cultural Center in Ranilug, RTV Puls, and all the visitors, the evening passed in an uplifting and inspiring atmosphere.
Next month, on the eve of Vidovdan, a festive lecture will be held in the courtyard of the Draganac Monastery.
